Psychosocial support sessions

“We hope that the number of these sessions would increase because they are very important to us, as we learn from the experiences of others and gain a lot of new information. In this difficult situation, we must participate in the sessions to learn how to overcome challenges” said Petra, 35 years old.

Petra is one of the 12 women and girls between the age of 15 and 35, who are currently attending the Gender based violence sessions in Bedneyel municipality, conducted by the protection team at the association Nabad for development in partnership with UNFPA Lebanon. With the generous support from the government of Sweden Embassy of Sweden in Beirut, these sessions aim at raising awareness of women on all types of violence in order to protect themselves against the danger of violence while encouraging them to report against such incidents.
